Model PT205-Hsensors are microprocessor-based sensors designed to detect hydrogen sulfide
The detection range is 0? 100 parts per million.The sensor assembly consists of a sensing
element in stainless steel housing a transmitter board and a usser termination board encl
-osed in an explosion proof enclosure with a rain guard .The plug-in type transmitter asse
-mbly consists of a microprocessor ,sensor signal conditioning and 4-20mA output cirquit.
The termination board assembly consists of DC-DC power converters and terminates tor wiring
The faceplate on the transmitter assembly clearly identifies the test points and adjustments
for senssor calibration PT205 is ideal for use in refiners petrochemical plants drilling
rigs and waste treatment facilities.
Operation
PT205 Sensors are installed in areas where hydrogen sulfide gas leaks are most likely to
occur .Method of detection is diffusion adsorption .As the sensing element is exposed to gydrogen sulfide it generates the signal that is conditioned and filtered into a 12 bit
Analog to Digital converter .An onboard microprocessor uses this digitized signal to com
-pute the concentration of the gas and generates 4-20mA DC analog output corresponding to
0 ? 100 parts per million (ppm) of hydrogen Sulfide.
